Well known for great style, luxury and a long list of standard features, the new model 2014 Acura MDX is ready to continue this long and prestigious reputation. An impressive and stylish SUV, the Acura MDX is a crossover that has something for everyone, but mostly supplies luxury that really cannot be beat.

Made for the enjoyment of a drive, the 2014 Acura MDX is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, supplying a ton of power on the open road. Additionally equipped with sound deadening materials, the MDX is easy and quiet around town as well, putting the driver into a world their own; without the noises from the outside entire world.

The 2014 Acura MDX is only offered with the 3.5-liter V6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This power plant offers the driver 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque offering a fuel efficiency of 20 city/28 hwy mpg for the front wheel drive and 18 city/27 hwy mpg for the all-wheel drive version. The MDX engine also features a Variable Cylinder Management system which will shut down three of the cylinders when not needed during cruising and deceleration which allows the MDX to have a much better fuel economy than other SUV crossovers.

Acura has chosen to offer the MDX with a long list of standard features and only one trim level rather than a bunch of confusion with multiple trim models. In fact, the Acura MDX has the most standard features in its class. Some of these standard features include energy efficient LED headlights, keyless access and start, a backup camera, leather interior, three-zone climate control, heated front seats, a power lift gate and eight-speaker audio system with Pandora. Safety equipment includes seven airbags, a reinforced body structure, and trailer stability control on the AWD models making the 2014 Acura MDX a top crash-test rated crossover.

If the standard features are not enough to please the owner, the 2014 Acura MDX offers a fantastic list of optional equipment as well. This equipment includes a navigation system, 19-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a forward-collision warning system. If all these goodies don’t please the driver, the Advance Package offers another level of extras such as a rear-seat entertainment center with a 16.2-inch split screen display, a 12 speaker ELS premium audio system, full range adaptive cruise control, and a Lane Keeping Assist System, all to allow for the best possible 2014 Acura MDX any owner could buy.

Offering a much more agile handling than its competitors, the 2014 Acura MDX is quick, sharp, and smooth all at the same time. The interior is laden with controls where the driver needs them and offers a lot fewer control buttons than the 2013 model that had 41 buttons for controls. Smooth and quality materials are featured throughout the 2014 Acura MDX giving the feeling of luxury and style.

For the $43,000 price tag the Acura MDX is actually a little less than the 2013 model and shows off with the greatest offering of standard features in its class. Even though the MDX start more expensive than some of its competitors, the MDX has the longest list of standard features giving the owner the most bang for the buck. When the 2014 Acura MDX is fully loaded it tops out at $57,000, not a bad range of price considering the2013 BMW X5 starts at $48,000 and reaches up as far as $80,000 when fully loaded.
Overall the 2014 Acura MDX is a great buy for the money, with the long list of standard features, good power under the hood, and quiet ride the MDX is truly a luxury vehicle at a very affordable price.
