Offering the choice of either front-wheel drive (FWD) for the pavement pounders or all-wheel drive (AWD) for those who are a bit more adventurous the Acadia has something to offer anyone, especially those who just can’t stomach the idea of driving a minivan.

For anyone who has the need to tackle serious off road trails full of boulders or having to tow much more than 5,200 pounds, this entire class of vehicle is not the choice to be made. However, for light to medium off road action and a decent amount of...

When Will Testing Rule in Automotive Marketing?

CarChat24.png

Under most circumstances, testing and monitoring overrules gut instincts when it comes to digital marketing. Never before has a venue been as easy to track and improve. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case for automotive vendors servicing car dealers. Smoke and mirrors often supersedes results.

One notable exception has been CarChat24. In our travels, we started reviewing the various chat providers in the industry to help answer the question once and for all, “Who is the best chat service?”

What we’ve found is that there’s a huge gap between the two types of chat solutions: software and managed. With software solutions, the dealers are given access to an interface and they handle all of the chats themselves. With managed, the dealership lets a chat center handle the chat interactions and important questions or leads are forwarded to the dealership staff as they arise.

All-Electric S-Class is on its Way

All Electric S-Class.jpg

There’s already a hybrid S-Class. Why not an all-electric? If you’re one of those who has been asking about that from Mercedes, your answer is apparently on its way. They intend to build an S-Class that doesn’t require a gas station.

Will it have any range at all? It’s hard enough to squeeze 100 miles out of a small car. Will a full-sized luxury sedan be able to make it from charging station to charging station?

According to Top Gear:

Is the Toyota Aygo Awesome or Awful?

Toyota Aygo Concept.jpg

If there was a compact car that was more polarizing than this one, we haven’t seen it yet. Just doing a quick survey around the office yielded exactly two results. People either loved it or absolutely hated it. There was no impression expressed that was anything other than extreme.

That part is easy to see. It has a big, flat nose. The design color scheme is either brilliant or annoying. The grill, logo, and headlight combination makes it look like a face… a reptilian face. We’ve made fun of a lot of car faces over the years (including the original Honda Element which looked an awful lot like a trunkless elephant) but this is one that really hits home. Can’t be unseen.

Jalopnik seems to really like it, calling it “perfect for Americans”. We may find out. Then again, it’s a car show. We may never see it again. Here’s what Jalopnik had to say:

Unlike the Yaris, which proves small...
